Do The Deeper Work

It’s been a while since I last posted here.  So much has been happening and my growth has been exponential. First of all let me wish you all a very Happy and Abundant New Year.  These past few weeks have been a time of going deep and letting go, for me.  I am so amazed at what happens when I get still.  Things become inspirations vs things to do.  What there is to do comes from the heart and emerges naturally with no forcing or pushing.  So calm and serene and I am available to be present with whatever is going on within and without.

Second, I have been redesigning my work.  What wants to emerge is to be and teach feminine leadership. I have come to understand what it even is on a much deeper level.  On the surface it is using the feminine traits in life and business (compassion, leading from the heart, respect, honor and with love.) But what does that mean?  It means every situation is perfect and fodder for learning and growing. No judgment, no comparison, no punishment, no reaction: only using every situation to learn and grow and make choices.  It brings out the best in everyone including myself.

What does it take? Deep work.  In order to truly be a feminine leader, I have to do my inner work. I have and do this inner work on a daily moment to moment basis on my own and with my coach and guides. I had to reconnect with my little girl and my soul and love her better than any mother could. I had to learn to trust my intuition and myself to be the stand I am for people no matter what. I had to manage my ego conversations and let my light shine.  Deep deep work.

Since I have been through it and continue to be in it, I can totally understand any of you that feel that this is what you want and don’t know how to get there. I can share the first steps in my workshop on January 28, 2017.  Click Here to learn more. We can begin to go deep on this one day workshop and you can get a taste of how easy your perspective can change and thus change your life. See you there!

2 Secrets to Achieving Harmony in Your Life

All 5 of the secrets to achieving harmony in my life are important, however, the two that have altered my life the most are Self Care and Connection to a higher power.

My whole perspective on self care altered when I understood that the most important thing I could do in the domain of self care was discipline. Yep, it surprised me.  I thought self care meant a bubble bath, a walk in nature, clean teeth and plenty of rest. Nope. All of these things come under discipline.  It takes discipline to plan a bubble bath, take a walk, brush my teeth and go to bed at a decent time. It would be really easy for me to talk myself out of any of the above tasks.  However, with discipline I can accomplish them all and feel good about it. Discipline is a series of choices to get me what I want; whether it be rest or money or clean teeth. And when I get off purpose or my path, I make the choices that may not be in my best interest.

That’s where the connection to a higher power comes in.  I’m up to big things.  I am in the process of changing the conversation in the business world to one of compassion, truth and love in the workplace. This is a huge purpose.  I cannot do it alone.  I am part of a community that is up to the same thing and that isn’t enough.  My spiritual connection pulls me out of my human experiences to a higher vibration so that I can stay on track. The logic is the bigger the commitment the more I need to be connected to something bigger than me.

Whatever result we get in business or in life is due to a series of small choices that lead to that result. I need discipline and a connection to a higher power to make the best choices for me and my business.  Review your results and then look at the choices you made to get there.  Are there any tweaks (other small choices) that could improve your results?

Holding to Your Highest

This world is full of people, states, and countries in disagreement in multiple areas: religion, government, rights, etc.  Sometimes it seems we are doomed to destroy ourselves. However I was moved by Pope Francis during his visit to the United States.  He holds himself to his highest.  In the face of opposition, of doubt, and much pain he declares his love and acceptance of all souls. He speaks directly to our soul and invites us to join him in holding ourselves to our highest.  What does that mean?  It could be in a religious sense, holding himself to his highest to do God’s work. After all the Pope is the head of the Church.  Could it be even bigger than that, in a spiritual sense.

Spiritual transcends all religions, all states and governments. Holding ourselves to our highest is knowing our soul purpose, having deep gratitude and connecting with a higher power.

When we are clear about our soul purpose, everything about us us aligned. We can have hard conversations. We can forgive and continue loving, we can act “bigger than we are” to do what needs to be done to stay on our soul purpose.

When we can feel deep gratitude for the things we have, for the things we will have and for the dark side of our lives as well, we are free. No hysterical emotions up or down. Just embracing what is and being grateful for it all because it’s all working on our behalf to our greatest good.

Connecting to our higher power is the glue that has us be brave, be knowing and to do the right thing in the face of adversity.  Our souls are here for a reason and a purpose.  Pope Francis happens to be Catholic but he is here for a bigger purpose than the church.  He can be a world healer because of his soul work, his gratitude and his connection to his higher power.

Business and government have to change how they do things to truly survive in the future.  Old and current methods are not working.  Let’s put the soul back in business and our lives so we can create the miracles needed to make the changes. Look within. Do you see that your soul puts you in situations to serve a purpose?  Do you see that being grateful can create love where there is none?  Do you see that a connection to a higher power can keep you on track?

Soul, gratitude and spiritual connection can truly save the world.

Bliss in the Workplace

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have bliss in your personal life, much less in the workplace? Bliss is an innate state of inner joy. It is constant, undisturbed by outward gain or loss. We all have the capacity for it, no matter our age, background, physical or mental disabilities, ethnicity, gender, or religion. External circumstances, whether positive or negative, happy or sad, do not affect it. What does that mean?

Its a place I strive to be. Yet, since I am a spiritual being having human experiences on the planet, it can escape me. It’s a tall order.  “External circumstances, positive or negative, do not affect my innate state of inner joy.”  To me, this means a state of being which includes loving myself enough to trust my intuition, being connected to my higher power, knowing that everything that happens is the universe working for my good: oneness, completeness and consciousness.

Emotions and reactions, good and bad, will not affect bliss: the steady state of being happy and joyful. The difference between happiness and bliss is that to obtain happiness one must do something-get good grades, do a good job, etc. One doesn’t do anything to “obtain” bliss.  It just is a way of being.

What if bliss could be brought to the workplace?  What if that nagging secretary, overpowering boss, or irritating co worker had no effect on you?  What if when the boss gives you kudos, co workers treat you to lunch, or you get a free day off without pay, it has no effect on your happiness?  Not like you don’t care or don’t appreciate these things. It’s just that your are so innately joyful, the mood doesn’t change with circumstance. What a great place to do your work!!!

Take an inventory on yourself.  Just observe how many times a day or hour that your mood changes and why? Could be as simple as not getting any mail today or as traumatic of an injury to yourself.  What if you could stay in a state of bliss during these times and observe, appreciate and be grateful of any event?  Leave a comment below with any experience you have had with bliss.

Spirituality and Clarity

My definition of spirituality is being connected to a higher power  (whatever name I call it), something bigger than me.  And a connection with me, the soul of me. My soul keeps me connected to my higher power. When I disconnect from myself, I disconnect from God.

The symptoms of being disconnected are feeling alone, fearful, procrastination, worried, self doubt, low self worth, not good enough, feeling like a victim, short tempered, impatient, etc. I’m sure these feelings have grabbed you a time or two.  They have certainly grabbed me. This usually happens when I let my ego drive the boat.

I get caught up in small “me” conversations.  You know, the ones that are all about what I want or think I need.  These are usually comparisons: She is doing better than I am, His copy is more interesting than mine.  Or they can be judgements and opinions: I shouldn’t do that, I should have done that. This kind of thinking is the highway to disconnection.

Now, we ALL have these thoughts or something similar.  The key is how long do we listen to these conversations.  The more we listen, the more disconnected we become. The ego takes over and the soul gets buried.

I have learned the way back to connection is to listen to the wisdom of the my soul and what I’m here for.  Here is where the clarity comes in.  Clarity of purpose is the context for doing all things.  We have a choice moment to moment whether we will listen to the ego or follow our purpose. Clarity is the route to reconnect God and soul.

Spirituality is the connection. Clarity is what keeps us on our path. Love is how we be.

What is Clarity?

“There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.”

Napoleon Hill

“Clearness in appearance, thought and style.”

Clarity of purpose is vital for the achievement of success and for making dreams come true. Clarity of purpose is important for every kind of success, for losing weight, getting a new car or travelling abroad. If you don’t know exactly what you want, how can you get it? It’s the context from which one operates.

A very simple example of clarity of purpose is going to a dentist appointment.  To accomplish this I must know the date and time of the appointment,at a minimum. All of these steps are derived from the context of having healthy teeth.  None of these steps would occur or matter, if I didn’t have this clear purpose. Therefore, in addition to the above,  I know I go to the dentist every 4 months for a cleaning, have a reminder in my phone to make an appointment, and call for the appointment a month before I need it because I know the appointments are booked a month out. When I have the clear purpose of maintaining healthy teeth, all that there is to do falls into place effortlessly.

Let’s use a business example of clarity of purpose of having a speaking engagement.  To accomplish this I must know the date and time, location of the talk, who my audience is, what the topic is, how long the talk will be, and what materials I will need. All of these steps are derived from the context of, “I change the conversation in business to come from the heart and be on the leading edge in the new feminine leadership” Now, the act of giving a talk a deeper meaning.  Any topic I talk about will be from this context. I will look for venues and audiences that can resonate with this new conversation in business.  Every phone call I make, networking event, every social event, every line at the grocery store will have this context.  The world is my stage to get my message out.  Anything that does not support this is taken of my list.

Clarity of purpose is the key to any success, especially success at the soul level. When I am clear in my purpose I have no fear or limitations on what I can achieve: it all melts away.
